The RAILBLAZA Illuminate Navigational Bow Light outshines all others! This navigational light meets the required standards for a port/starboard navigation light for power and sailboats under 36 feet. This light is great for use where cables can’t be run. RAILBLAZA has made a port/starboard light, and not a tri-color for a very good reason, as their target market for this product is power boats under 36 feet in length. Like all RAILBLAZA products, this light has been designed and tested in harsh sunlight and saltwater environments meaning it will give many years of fault free service. To maximize battery life, RAILBLAZA has used high-quality Osram power LEDs, and a high-efficiency digital circuit. It is lightweight and IP67 rated for protection against dust and water. These features mean it will float with the lens up and out of the water. With the light being battery powered, it’s very simple to install with no external wiring. WARNING

The bow light and base appear to be top quality products built in New Zealand. We are doing an adventure race in a 17′ sailboat in a month so that will be the ultimate test of exposure and ruggedness. I will follow up after we give it the real world test in salt water.

Kinda pricey for what it is, thus not 5 stars at this point, yet it appears to be well made and is simple to use and it is VERY bright! Best wireless design I have seen
